Trenes National Rail

Train tickets can be purchased at any station that belongs to the National Rail network and on the site www.nationalrail.co.uk. There are several stations placed in the heart of London, in the important points of the city.

Blackfriars Station

Its central position makes it very useful in the connections with the most important tourist attractions

(Tate Modern, St Paul`s, Globe Theater). It also has a good number of connections with King`s Cross and London Bridge. From the Thameslink there are services connected with Brighton (via Gatwick Airport and East Craydon) to Kings Cross and Luton (for connection to Luton Airport). The ticket office is open from Monday to Friday, from 7.15 am to 9.00 pm, Saturdays from 7.15 am to 8.00 pm and Sundays from 7.15 am to 3.40 pm. It is served by the Circle and District subway lines and by the two transport companies Southeastern and First Capital Connect.

Euston Station

It has Intercity services for Midlands North England and Scotland. The main ticket offices are open from Monday to Saturday from 6 am to 11:45 pm and on Sundays from 7 am to 11:45 pm. It is served by the Northern and Victoria metro lines. Two trains leave from Euston per hour for the main London stations. The transport companies that work are: Virgin Trains, First Scot Rail, London Midland, Northern Rail, London Overground.

King’s cross Station

Intercity services are offered for East and Northeast England, Scotland and metropolitan services. The First Capital connects this station with the Gatwick airport, while connections with Lutos are delivered by another station on Pentonville Road (a small road from the main station)

It is served by the Victoria, Northern, Piccadilly, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan, Circle metro lines and two bus connections leave per hour for the other major main stations. The railway companies that work there are National Express East Coast, First Capital Connect, Grand Central Railways Company.

Ticket: The ticket office is open at the same time as the station is open, automatic ticket machines are always available. They also offer the telephone sales service from Monday to Sunday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

A curiosity: in an angle of this station full of people you will find platform 9 and ¾ from where Harry Potter leaves in his famous saga.

St. Pancras International Station

Connected with King’s cross Station, from this modern station trains also leave directly beyond the spot, including Paris and Brussels. The ticket office is open from Monday to Friday from 5.45 am to 10 pm, Saturdays from 6 am to 9 pm and Sundays from 8.15 am to 10.15 pm. It is served by Metropolitan, Victoria, Hammersmith and City, Piccadilly, Circle and Northern line. Eurostar, First Capital Connect, East Midland Connect, East Midland Trains, Southestern

Liverpool Street Station

From here the Express Rail trains offer connections to the Stansted Airport. The ticket office is always open using the station’s schedules and there are also automatic machines, always active and it is possible to buy them by phone. It is served by the metro lines

Central, Circle, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan. From here there are also two buses per hour for the main stations. In addition, London City Airport Shuttle departs every 10 minutes. It is served by National Express and C2C transportation companies.

London Bridge Station

Subway services take you to South London, Greenwich included, Kent and Surrey. It also offers connections to Tonbridge, the South Coast, Dover, Ramsgatee Gatwick Airport. The tickets are open Monday through Friday from 5:00 am to 1:00 am, Saturdays from 6:45 am to 1:20 pm, without forgetting that automatic machines can be used. It is also connected to the Northern and Jubilee metro lines, and also offers bus services twice per hour for the main stations.

Paddington Station

From this station, trains leave for Galles and the southeast of England. It is served by a special transport service to the main London airports, offered by the Heatrow Express. Suburban connections take you to Slough, Reading and Aylesbury.

Ticket: the ticket office is open 24 hours a day, and even more, Paddington is also served by automatic machines.

It is served by the Bakerloo, District, Hammersmith & City and Circle subway lines and two of its buses per hour connect it to the other stations. Here are the companies First Great Western, Virgin Cross Country, Heathrow Express, Heathrow Connect.

Victoria Station

It offers express services for cities in the South of England, Kent, Sussex, and Hampshire that includes Dover, Ashford, Brighton, Chichester, Southampton, Portsmouth and Gatwick Airport. The suburban services include Croydon, Bromley and Epsom.

Ticket: The ticket office is open 24 hours a day and automatic machines are present. It is served by the Metro District, Victoria and Circle, and by the bus service, twice per hour, which connects it with the main stations. Victoria Coach station, successive to the station, and from there buses that connect it to the airports. Southern, Southeastern and Gatwick Express transport companies work.
